Layer Show All ( Drawing Editor )

Tool summary :

  • Shows all layers in your current drawing, which results in all objects being shown except those that are hidden using Display Options .
  • Shown layers are plotted, with the possible exception of comment layers and revision layers, which you can turn off at plot time.
  • The hidden/shown state of layers is retained when you Save ( Ctrl + s ) a drawing. This means that some layers may be hidden when you Open ( Ctrl + o ) a drawing.
  • The Edit Layers window can also be used to show all layers. Shown layers are layers that are set to " Show ."

  Step-by-step instructions :

1 . Invoke Layer Show All using any one (1) of the following methods:

Method 1 : Click the Layer Show All icon. The icon can be taken from the group named ' Objects -- Layers ' and placed on a toolbar (classic) or the ribbon (lightning).

Method 2 : If " Drawing Editor layout style " is ' Classic ', you can use the menu system to choose Objects > Layers > Show All .

Method 3, 4 or 5 : Layer Show All can also be invoked using a keyboard shortcut , the context menu , or a mode . For the ' Lightning ' layout style, configuration of the interface is done using Customize Interface .

Method 6 : With Layer Mode mouse bindings active, hold down the Ctrl key and left-click ( Show All ).

2 . Layer Show All shows all layers of your current drawing. This means that all objects on those layers are shown unless those objects have been hidden using Display Options .

Note: At this point you can still undo your changes by using Revert or Undo . If you Save to make your changes permanent, you can no longer Revert , but you can still Undo .
